Was sent to Dr. Hanel to have wisdom teeth extracted prior to radiation treatment for oral cancer. Dr. Hanel used billing codes to give a cost estimate. The billing codes he used were for impacted wisdom teeth. After receiving a consultation from another oral surgeon, it was noticed that the billing codes were different. The 2nd consult said that the teeth were not impacted which was confirmed by the ordering dental oncologist. It looks like Dr. Hanel was padding his bill. It's bad enough having a cancer diagnosis. But, to be abused and cheated by medical/dental professionals is inexcusable. Do not trust this oral surgery practice. If they would cheat a cancer patient, then they have no morals, are unscrupulous, are dishonest, and cannot be trusted with your health.
