Dr. Patel deserves a five for his skills but business practices in my opinion a 0-1. I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for approximately 20+/- years. I have been loyal, and sent several referrals to his office. Recently, I received a bill I didn’t agree with and was told several different things from his forever changing staff. On numerous occasions my husband and I requested that we find out the cost of anything outside of cleaning and x-Rays before the procedure is done. On my last visit I received the typical x-Rays and cleaning. Dr. Patel filled in a hole or something that was like that when I left on a prior visit which was about one year ago. I missed my six month cleaning due to being away for training. I wasn’t told anything more than he filled it. It wasn’t a procedure that required any anesthetic however, he staff said he numbed my mouth. Okay, now you’ve gone to far with the shenanigans...that’s a bold face lie. The doctor did not numbed my mouth. Needless to say, the bill was $158.00 after the insurance portion. One of his staff told me it didn’t look like adjustments had been made but once that is done it will look more reasonable for what was actually done to me on the day of the visit. Didn’t happen so I called my attorney and was told to get a copy of my records and x-Ray. After I requested that I was told by the doctor via letter he no longer wanted to provide services and I would be better off going somewhere else. Okay, I thought I said when I picked up my documents I would not be returning. Anyway I contest the bill, I will be paying and pursuing legally so that I am not cheated on having the insurance pay for procedures that actually take place. When looking at the bill and what is being claimed doesn’t match up.

Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field. The staff was very helpful no matter how many times I called with a question or concern. They never made me feel uncomfortable for asking any question. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. It's always bugged me when other dentists' I've visited didn't take the time to really examine my teeth. I didn't encounter that here at all, they made an extra effort to inspect my teeth very thoroughly. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all.
