Dr. Jones is fine if you need a cleaning or minor fillings. I found him to be very boastful of his San Francisco training, critiquing work of other dentists, while assuring me of how skilled and thorough he is while performing an incredibly deep filling on our 9 yr old daughter. A week or so after the filling she started complaining of pain in the area of the filling and again he assured us of his good work saying it was floss irritation. After six weeks of pain and a visible bump on her gums, we took her to a different dentist for a second opinion and quickly found it was infected. Our 7yr old son also saw him for fillings at the same time as our daughter. Dr. Jones decided to fill the smaller ones first after deciding not to fill some at all, and left the largest for last (6 weeks from filling #1 to #5) and finally referred us to an out of town specialist siting behavior due to an episode of anxiety after 3 perfectly behaved sessions. Again, after getting a second opinion, the tooth had to be pulled and the second dentist had no idea why a cavity that large would have been left for last. The only conclusion we could make, after Dr. Jones refused to return our calls, was that it was beyond Dr. Jones' skill level to repair the tooth so he did the others first so he could get paid before referring us out to more skilled dentists. It was a very disheartening and stressful time for our family.
