I seen Dr.carmony for cleaning and I had a cavity that needed filling, I went back to have it filled once I left and the feeling came back I had almost passing out pain. concerned I went back , he buffed the tooth down with no numbing or anything ,knowing I was in tremendous pain , I have never shaked or cried n a dentist chair til then. .days keep going by and all he wants is to feed me pain meds. I finally go back to my home town to see my long time dentist. once he saw the tooth he told me that the dentist had put a filling so big in that tooth he cracked the tooth behind it, I had to lose a tooth that was fine to begin with bc I let an idiot fill a different one. when I contacted the dental board that got his statement saying I just didn't want to pay my bill. I had insurance and paid I full each vistit. when I contacted his office one of his staff bascilly laughed and hung up. I have never seen a bill where I supposedly owed him money or even collections... do your homework before u see this dentist he is a liar and he really tries to pass out pain meds for ppl to keep coming back ..the state should really pull his license bc he has had all kinds of fraud issuses . Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. The staff made it completely obvious that they didn't respect #fullname~this provider#. It made me uncomfortable and I wasn't sure if I wanted to return. I felt like they were just trying to make money off me because they kept pressuring me to get dental procedures that I know weren't necessary. They should've respected my decision. They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. They were extremely argumentative and became angry very easily. I was trying to explain my situation and they just contradicted everything I was saying before I could finish.

My experience with going to Dr. Neal W. Carmony was very poor.

I do not have a current dental provider due to not having insurance for a number of years, and am very stretched for money, being a single parent of two daughters.

I had a tooth become abcessed and was in quite a bit of pain, and selected a local dentist because I knew it was likely going to have to come out.

I was talked down to, and lectured about not caring about my gums, even though I stated it was a financial issue.
But, as I had already paid for the first visit I went ahead and scheduled an extraction with Dr. Carmony.
When he came in to do the extraction he was the opposite of reassuring or pleasant. He demanded to know if I wanted to keep the rest of my teeth. Then told me I was going to have to care more.

When undergoing the numbing injection, one was rather painful and I quite noticibly squirmed and he stated to me:
"I know, You HAVE to keep these Gums Clean"
As though it was a deserving punishment for my discomfort.

I was already terrified about losing this tooth, I have not had a tooth extracted before ever, and he left to let the numbing kick in and I started to get very nervous and upset.

I don't know if the gas aggravating my agitation, but when he came back and started prying at my tooth I lost it and started to hyperventilate and cry.

He uttered a few comforting statements like "You're not having a complete mental breakdown are you? I have a whole office full of people here. You have to stop. Just be quiet, calm down and let me do my job."
He managed to wrench the tooth out of my mouth with a pair of pliers.

When I went to the front window my boyfriend was there helping me pay, he was looking confused wondering why I was shaking so bad and crying. The doctor told him that I did good, and that I had "The gum disease" really bad and was going to loose all of my teeth in the same painful fashion.

If you enjoy a doctor that is going to look down his nose at you, speak to you like you are an idiot, and make things as harsh for you as possible, then this is a good doctor for you.

If you are like me and have been less than blessed financially, and things like having your teeth ripped out of your mouth make you nervous, this would be a very poor choice. I just wish someone could have let me know this in advance. I've never had such a poor experience before, and had heard about things like this, but did not expect it.

Note: The other members of Dr. Carmony's staff were very kind, friendly and pleasant.
