He attended the University of Montemorelos in Mexico where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences. In 1975 he graduated from Universidad Autonomus de Guadalajara with his Medical Degree. Upon graduating from Medical School, Dr. Sanchez completed his post-graduate training in Canada and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Physician Specialist and is a member of the Texas Medical Association.
