This club is convenient for people living at 1 Columbus Place. It offers the basic workout equipment, and personal trainers are available. There's no pool, sauna or classes. But it's convenient - and not crowded, which is great.

However, I would not recommend joining for the winter months as the gym is notoriously cold because management simply refuses to turn the heat on - for some unknown reason. Even when it's minus 10 degrees outside, cold air conditioning will be blasting down through the overhead vents, making it extremely uncomfortable. Most people have to wear jackets, hats and gloves in the winter time to work out, which isn't fun. Even the attendant at the front desk wears a coat and turns on a portable heater to keep warm. Despite countless complaints about the lack of heat, management simply refuses to turn off the air conditioning - and turn on the heat.

But it's a good gym for the summer months. It also offers a nice outdoor deck just outside the gym in the summer. The deck used to be great, but then management decided to plant a bunch of trees on the deck, which shades the entire deck from the sun and attracts a lot of bugs. If someone brings a gym mat out onto the deck for even a couple of minutes, they wind up bringing a bunch of insects into the gym when they bring the mat back in. It's a shame because it used to be a really nice clean deck area - where people could enjoy the sun. But now, with all the trees, you don't see the sun and you fight off bugs.
