I've been with Dr. Bolen since 2009. I left for a little while for another AO chiropractor who was much closer to my home/work. But I came back! Even now I live 2.75 hours away and travel to see him. It's the combination of the science of the AO Method combined with the gentleness of the Activator Method. Some people, like me, can't handle the "bone-cracker" type.
Don't be confused by a chiropractor using an Activator and one trained in the entire Activator Method. There is a world of difference.
He listens and keeps trying different things until we find what works best. His practice isn't a soft-tissue practice, so still keep a good physical therapist who does myofascial work, or a massage therapist trained in the Rossiter Technique. But soft tissue work won't fix anything long term if your skeletal system isn't properly aligned!
There is a way to live without headaches, low back pain on long airplane rides, or a frozen shoulder! Do some reading on the benefits of the Atlas Orthogonal (AO) method to understand why x-rays at the first visit are required. That adjustment must be precise. Dr. Bolen definitely isn't a come in and get popped kind of chiropractor.
For treatment of an acute injury or just long term health maintenance, it's worth that drive for me!
