The Gonstead Disc Concept was developed by Dr. C.S. Gonstead of Mt. Horeb, WI. and has been recognized as a model for understanding
discogenic back pain, by all branches of the healing arts.
Dr. Sheldon Delman studied and worked with
Dr. Gonstead from 1966 to 1978 and was instrumental in the videotaping of Dr. Gonstead's work for future generations of Chiropractors.
He taught the Gonstead Technique at the Columbia Chiropractic Institute, now called the New York Chiropractic College.

The Gonsted Technique is a hands-on techniques. We do all spinal manipulations by hand. We do not utilize traction, ultrasound or any other mechanical instruments.
Every patient, at every visit, is given an examination utilizing motion palpation, visualization, instumentation and range of motion
We do not manuipulate the entire spine. We only correct those vertebrae and discs that are actually causing the problems.
