Upon doing a Google search for pain management practitioners in Kodiak Alaska dr. Creelman came up as the first option. Made an appointment 30 days before relocating to Kodiak Alaska. Spoke with the nurse about my need for pain management for a failed 3 level fusion surgery. Was told would be $180 visit. When I arrive for my appointment dr. Creelman who had access to my extensive medical files look down his nose at me almost refusing to shake my hand and flatly telling me he does not do pain management. And referred me to a practitioner over 500 miles away. Very disappointed to say the least. Addicts have made genuine pain management very difficult, but for those of us who have followed all of the rules and had all of the surgeries the epidural shots the acupuncture and physical therapy and still get no relief there is only one option that traditional medicine offers and that is opioid pain medication for chronic pain. I dare say doctors are the ones who created the addics in the first placed or at a minimum created a dependency. Now that the government is coming down on practitioners for over-prescribing pain medication the majority of them will treat you as a drug seeker instead of a person with serious legitimate chronic medical issues. Dr. Creelman is just one more in a long list of doctors who should be ashamed. Especially when he advertises pain management doing any Google search for pain management in Kodiak Alaska. I did not ask for degenerative disc disease or multiple blown discs or an entrapped nerve root but I was told to get surgery acupuncture and physical therapy. Which in total has cost over $250,000. Now that I've done that and not gotten relief. What else is there for patients such as myself other than pain medication. I Rue the day that I ever allowed a doctor to place me on pain medication in the first place. Now I found most doctors are either in it for the money or do not treat the whole patient. Shame on the medical field in general for their failure to take care of so many people who have legitimate and well-documented problems. But especially shameful on practitioners who advertise for pain management charge expensive fees only to look down their nose at you upon arrival and kick you out the door. And finally shame on all of the opioid addicts that abused pain medication to get high. You have made not only your life miserable but everybody else around you. And have made it near impossible for people with legitimate problems to get treatment.
