He completed his medical education at the Otago University Medical School in Dunedin, New Zealand and his internship in general surgery at the Napier Hospital in Napier, New Zealand. Dr. Alexander then completed a series of four residencies in General and Plastic Surgery, including terms as Surgical Resident at University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii, Emergency Room Physician at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, Registrar in Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Registrar in Surgery at Burwood Hospital in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Dr. Alexander pursued his Plastic Surgery Residency by serving terms as Senior House Surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children in London, England, Registrar in Plastic Surgery at Royal Naval Hospital in Plymouth, England and Registrar in Plastic Surgery at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bradford, England.
