I've been a diabetic for over 22 years and a pump patient for 10. I found out that Dr. Chemplavil was only 2 minutes from where I lived. I made an appointment to see him and when I showed up I checked in on time. The nurse at the counter started to take my information and then asked "Are you a pump wearer?" and I said yes. She replied "Oh, they should have told you, Dr. Shemplavail doesn't see pump users." I was shocked, and asked why. Her reply? "He finds it an inconvenience to treat pump users." To me that says he doesn't really care about the health and care of his patients, only what's important to him. I was furious that I had taken time off from work to see this doctor, only to be told (when they should have asked when I had called and made the appointment) when I had gotten there that I'd be an inconvenience to the doctor. Especially considering I'm the one who's had the diseas for the majority of my life and I've had to deal with the complications of it. He only has to talk to me for 30 minutes every 3 months, how hard could that be???!!!!
