Dr. Rothman saw me in the ER at Phelps Memorial Hospital in December 1995. I was 45 years old. I had a 105 F. fever and couldn't think straight or answer questions. He did a spinal tap, an MRI and other tests, had me admitted to intensive care on antibiotics and acyclovir. He saved my life and my mind.
