Joel Carnazzo, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families. He specializes in treating adults and adolescents with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, problematic substance use, and conflicted relationships. Dr. Carnazzo has also developed a focused approach to addressing men’s issues, work place performance, and helping medical professionals in training.
Dr. Carnazzo received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, where he obtained specialized training in working with families that are in crisis. He has provided clinical services and supervised other mental health professionals in a range of settings including inpatient, correctional, and hospital based outpatient centers. Dr. Carnazzo is able to help people find solutions and opportunities for personal growth even in the most difficult of circumstances.
For the past 8 years, Dr. Carnazzo has held a position as teaching faculty for graduate students in clinical psychology. Through his teaching career and his training at the Asher Center for the Study and Treatment of Depressive Disorders, he has been dedicated to using current clinical research in the effective treatment of psychological disorders.
