During my undergraduate nursing program, I was introduced to my two passions, oncology nursing and Nia. In 2005 I started attending the master's of nursing program at the University of Washington to become an oncology clinical nurse specialist in order to integrate my two passions of focusing on health and fitness in cancer survivors. Upon graduating, I didn't feel ready to start my own business and felt a need to establish myself in a community. However, after working in an acute care setting for 3 years, I quit my job to purse my passion of promoting health and wellness in people living with cancer. In January of 2011 I formed "Moving To Heal" which guides individuals, families, and community in self-healing through coaching, education, navigation, and Nia movement. I specialize in working with individuals living with cancer or other chronic illness. I offer general Nia classes in Redmond along with private Nia sessions.
