I decided to become a chiropractor after it changed my life. I was a good baseball player growing up, playing on many traveling tournament teams from about age 12 on. Around the time I was 14-15 I started getting "sick" all the time. I would go to see my primary care doctor and he would prescribe me some antibiotics, typically a Zithromax Z pack. The antibiotics would take my symptoms away for a while but I would be back in his office in about 4-6 weeks. This went on for about a year and I was starting to miss school and baseball tournaments (more important to me at the time!). It was around this time a family friend suggested I see a chiropractor. My parents and I went to see the chiropractor who took X-rays of my spine and explained to be that I was subluxated. A subluxation is a misalignment of spinal bone (vertabrae) and it was putting pressure on my nerves which limited my bodies innate healing ability. I started getting adjusted and to make a long story short, I have be sick ONE TIME in the last 16+ years since I began getting adjusted. Keep that story in mind next time someone asks you why you see a chiropractor when you don't hurt and tell them, "I'd like to keep it that way."
