Interests: THERAPY ORIENTATION
My orientation to counseling is based on the assumption that we are relational and spiritual beings who are best understood in the context of family and community, both past and present. I believe that all families and individuals can develop healthier ego strengths and improve practical individual skills to solve problems and make changes in their lives. I work to help families and individuals acknowledge those strengths; encourage, support and challenge people to make changes in thoughts and behaviors that are not conducive to health and well being; and enable growth in relationships and functioning. Generally speaking, this is a psychodynamic approach to counseling. In addition, I may address how you think about your presenting concerns (a cognitive approach) and what you do in response to your presenting concerns (a behavioral approach). I do, as the needs sometimes arise include spiritual interventions that allow the Holy Spirit to bring lasting healing, health and restoration. Contact us: <url removed>
