Dr. Eilers, a fourth generation Oregonian, grew up on Eilers road near Wilsonville and attended Canby grade and high schools. Following family tradition he attended Oregon State University and received a bachelors degree in General Science. Acceptance to University of Oregon Dental School (now OHSU) resulted in a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and the distinction of being the sixth member of his family to enter the dental profession.

After two years of active duty as a Caption in the US Army, he returned to Portland and started private practice in his existing location. In addition to his practice, Dr. Eilers is an assistant professor at OHSU school of Dentistry and a certified dental consultant for a major medical insurance company.

Professional memberships included the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Multnomah Dental Society, International College of Dentists, and American Association of Dental Consultants. Civic Organizations include Portland Downtown Lions Club, Portland Optimist club, TNI Network and Northwest Medical Teams.
