Matt Proskin

Matt Proskin
Matt Proskin is a renowned fitness expert and personal trainer. Matt comes from a background of athletics and strength and conditioning. During his undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh studying Exercise Science he began as an intern in the strength and conditioning department, where he gained valuable experience in all aspects of running a successful Division I program. Upon graduation, Matt was hired by the University as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach where he had direct supervision of Men's swimming, Men's and Women's track and field and Women's tennis. With Matt's help the Men's swim team won the Big East Championship. Matt also coached many athletes who won individual Big East championships, broke Big East and school records, and qualified for the NCAA championships.

Matt resigned from his position at the University of Pittsburgh to take a position as a fitness facility manager, personal trainer, and strength coach. This move gave him an opportunity to work with more of a variety of clientele from rehabilitation, seniors, youth, teen, weight management, bodybuilding, power lifting, and recreational athletes. This gave him a more rounded background of training as well as experience managing. Matt's success in strength and conditioning has also given him the opportunity to train high school state champions and record setters, professional and Olympic athletes. Matt has trained athletes at all levels, all ages, and in all sports, from 8 -90 and golf to football. His clients have achieved unimaginable weight loss, unparallel strength gains, improved their fitness and conditioning to incredible levels, and recovered from injuries they were told they never would recover from.

Matt's education in exercise science provided him with a background for him to build on by completing his Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health promotion: Performance Enhancement and Injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. . Matt also has a vast education in nutrition and provides a detailed plan to help you continuously move toward your goals through nutrition

Matt is no stranger to success, as a high school athlete he earned 12 varsity letters in 4 sports over 4 years, as well as receiving all-conference, championship and performance awards. Matt has been featured in several newspapers for his accomplishments and his work in youth and teen training. Matt still competes in Olympic lifting and power lifting and track meets and has won and placed in numerous events. Matt demands success from himself and he puts this same attitude into helping you achieve your fitness goals. "Based on science, built on experience," Matt says, whether it is athletic performance, weight loss, changing your body and life style, rehab, bodybuilding, fitness or other goals. Matt has the education and proven success to get you where you want and deserve to be.
