Dr. Lovegrove is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. A graduate of Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine, his 8 years of clinical experience includes Preventive-aging, Pain Management, Family Practice, Aerospace, Sports and Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Lovegrove was born in Staunton, Virginia and attended University of Virginia where he graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He received a Medical School Scholarship from the United States Air Force in 1997. He graduated from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2001. He then entered Family Practice Residency in a unique joint program with St. Louis University and the 375th Medical Group at Scott Air Force Base. After finishing his residency in 2004, Dr. Lovegrove chose to serve his country with the Air Force as a Family Practice and Emergency Room Physician at Osan Air Base, Korea (outside of Seoul). In 2005, he accepted his selection to the Aerospace Medicine Program in San Antonio, Texas. Later that year, he moved to an air base in Germany called Spangdahlem where he joined the 81st Fighter Squadron as their personal “Flight Doc.” He continued to serve his country during multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan, England, Portugal, Italy, and Qatar. In 2007, Dr. Lovegrove moved back to the U. S. soil here at Charleston Air Force Base where he continued to practice Aerospace and Family Medicine with an emphasis in holistic preventive-aging and pain management. In Sept 2008, Dr. Lovegrove decided to separate from the Air Force and start his own private medical practice in preventive-aging and pain management applying functional, orthomolecular, and holistic medicine to his approach. He currently lives 2 blocks from his practice in Mt. Pleasant. On many beautiful days in Charleston, you may find him riding his bike or walking to and from work.
