As a Nutritionist and Certified Dietitian with a passion for great food and many years of experience, I have a deep understanding of the complexities of food, nutrition and diet. In addition to providing nutrition counseling services to clients in my private practice, I have also provided consulting services to the restaurant, foodservice and healthcare industries on current trends, menu development, nutrition analysis and research and development of healthy food products.
I was a key participant in establishing quality nutrition services at the Hofstra Health Dome, a cardiovascular health and fitness center, affiliated with Hofstra University.
As Director of Nutrition for over 15 years, my professionally supervised programs and seminars in medical nutrition therapy, weight management, wellness and healthy cooking, have helped thousands of Long Islanders develop healthier, happier, and more productive lifestyles.
During my internship at Columbia University’s Nutrition Education Resources Center, I developed and conducted nutrition education programs for students, teachers, and professionals in the NYC school system. I was also an active participant on the Nutrition Committee of the Roslyn School District for many years, organizing nutrition events for students and teachers.
The most unique aspect of my background is my ability to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about food and nutrition with my clients, thereby assisting them to achieve their dietary and wellness goals.
I received my BS degree in Foods and Nutrition from Cornell University and my MS degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University. I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the American Dietetic Association and a New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN).
