Dr. Maoshing Ni

Dr. Maoshing Ni
I am a 38th-generation doctor of Chinese medicine and an authority in anti-aging medicine. I became determined to pursue health and healing after an accidental fall from the rooftop of our three-story house when I was six years old. My father, a renowned physician of Chinese medicine and Taoist master, rehabilitated me and guided me on the long road back to health. The knowledge that made me whole again came from thousands of years of Chinese tradition of healing and rejuvenation, and I vowed that when I got well I would become a doctor and spread this tradition, to which I owed my life.

I have a Chinese medicine practice in Santa Monica, California, Tao of Wellness, where I have treated thousands of patients. I am also cofounder of Yo San University in Los Angeles, where I teach the art and science of Wellness Medicine.

I am author of Secrets of Longevity (Chronicle Books, 2006) and Secrets of Self-Healing (Avery, Jan 2008). Both can be found in bookstores and online.
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA United States
Occupation: Doctor (D.O.M, Ph.D., LAc), Writer
Interests: Promoting wellness for everyone, qigong, tai chi, acupuncture, and <url removed>
