Gretchen Maunder the owner and founder of Bodylistener Massage & Bodywork Therapy.
She is a gifted bodywork practitioner and Reiki Master/Teacher, offering integrative bodywork using Craniosacral therapy and Reiki along with other techniques to create a unique session for each person.
Her journey to becoming an alternative care practitioner began in the early 1980’s while living in Washington D.C. She experienced many types of bodywork and was a member of a healing circle. It was these experiences that led her to a career change after a move to North Carolina.
After leaving a career in Internet technologies she began practicing in 2003. Clinical experiences include a private physical therapy clinic, Rex Hospital and Wellness Centers and her private practice. In 2004 Gretchen began studying energy medicine and became a Reiki Master/Teacher.
Volunteering is a part of the Bodylistener philosophy of Service so you will find her providing chair massage at “Race for the Cure” events and other fundraisers and community events.
