Maggie Benton is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitoner who is experienced in treating patients with mental health disorders across the life span. She works with adults, treating a variety of disorders including; anxiety disorders, PTSD, trauma, depression, life adjustments, addictions, and has a special interest in women's mental health issues. Her education includes a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health nursing and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Specialization from the University of Virginia. Her treatment approach is integrative; utilizing training in psychopharmacology as well as interest in complementary and alterative approaches to health. She understands the impact of mental health issues on every aspect of life: from physical health, to relationships and impacts on work and career. Maggie partners with patients to improvement their mental health and restore balance and wellness through a combination of medication management and brief therapy techniques. Beyond her professional pursuits, Maggie is a music enthusiast and enjoys listening to her record collection. She also enjoys boating with her husband, traveling and exploring new places, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
