I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Community Herbalist, Compassion Fatigue Specialist, and a Reiki/Yoga Nidra Practitioner. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Labor and Industrial Relations. I specialized in the area of Human Resources facilitating employee development, recruiting, training, organizational research and change management for large corporations in the Chicago area. Finding my "true calling", I then returned to school and obtained my Master of Arts and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. My diverse experiences include focused efforts within community crisis centers, law enforcement/outreach settings, scholastic environments, wilderness settings, inpatient psychiatric/drug and alcohol/eating disorder rehabilitation centers, integrated medical healthcare clinics, and private practice. Additionally, I have served in the area of nonprofit administration in roles emphasizing clinical supervision, program development, marketing, community outreach, and community/state advocacy efforts. My clinical specialties include the holistic healing of eating/body image, mood, and anxiety concerns; mindfulness through life transitions; care for compassion fatigue; and clinical supervision for other therapists. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, meditation, hiking, traveling, making healing herbal teas and tinctures, and spending time with my husband and three fur babies.
