I prefer a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach which focuses on the way people think (cognitive) and act (behavioral). With every thought your brain releases chemicals that change the way you feel and behave. Positive thoughts help you feel happy, motivated, and relaxed; negative thoughts make you feel anxious, depressed, and/or angry. Left unchecked, automatic negative thoughts can be detrimental to your health; ultimately affecting the quality of your life. I can help you correct negative thinking patterns into positive thinking, which can improve your mood, motivation and determination.
I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors with a variety of mental health issues. These include issues with anxiety, coping skills, depression, emotional disturbance, grief, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), marriage, relationship issues, self-esteem, trauma and PTSD, women's issues . I look forward to working with you.
