I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2002 starting a full-time private practice in 2008. I did my undergraduate work at Binghamton University (State University of New York) and completed my graduate studies at New York University (NYU). Following graduation from NYU, I finished a 3-year training program at the Martha K. Selig Educational Institute of Jewish Board of Family and Children Services in New York City (formerly known as JBFCS).
I have also completed a post-graduate training program of the Postpartum Stress Center and am certified to treat women suffering from a variety of postpartum conditions.
I am trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), one of the most effective trauma treatment techniques.
I have extensive experience treating adults and adolescents, and consulted at several New York City high schools and community centers. I also trained at the New York University Counseling and Wellness Services where I helped students with mood disorders and school adjustment problems.
For several years, I worked at a Jewish Board outpatient community clinic in Washington Heights where I provided therapy and supervised student interns, until moving into full-time private practice in Manhattan and Northern New Jersey.
