They are considerate and concerned for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. Their office was well organized and clean. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. Most importantly, he makes the pain go away. He uses mild techniques to perform adjustments.

I have been having progressive back, hip and leg pain for the last few years. 3 years ago, my physical therapist told me that my pelvis was tilted. Things got very bad over the last year with worsening sciatic pain to my right ankle, and I was pulling my right leg due to pain when I walked, even with the pain killers. I was taking 500 mg naproxen bid & 1300 mg acetaminophen tid to make it through the day. I saw an orthopedist and a physical therapist, who recommended exercises which did not help. Ultimately, I herniated my L4/L5 disc. I continued working for 6 weeks before the pain got so bad that I was stuck in bed for 3 weeks. I was 3 days from surgery before things finally started turning around regarding the herniation pain. I read the review on this site from 11/6/12 and I went to see Dr. Chang, hoping for a similar outcome but not knowing what to expect. He looked at my scans and told me what was wrong, which I knew from before. My right pelvis was tilted down and my SI joint was the source of the chronic pain prior to the herniation. He knew exactly where to push to find the painful area, which I had not mentioned. The pelvic tilt was the source of the pressure which caused the disc herniation. He also gave me a sound explanation for why things went wrong and a solid plan of attack to fix it, which I had not heard yet with my previous experiences. My right arch had collapsed, making my right leg shorter and my hip tilted to compensate. He also mentioned that I must have injured my ankle at some point, which after some serious searching, I finally remembered my right ankle hurting for weeks a few years ago. This was during a period of my life when I was wearing my favorite pair of boots almost every day; unfortunately, they had zero arch support. He made some adjustments on my arches, knees and SI joint, and I was walking so much better when I left. He gave me some herbal medicine to apply to the PSIS and some herbal medicine to take. He said that it would take a couple of weeks before I was back to normal. I am hoping that this works. I will update after a few weeks with any progress.

I was so happy with the care I got here that I have already told multiple people about it. They deserve all the recommendations in the world. I wasn't stiff at all after my appointment. They are always very careful, and make sure I'm always comfortable. They talked about my X-Rays with me thoroughly to make sure I knew everything about my condition and about my treatment options. They definitely care about their patients.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, we took my son to see Dr. Chang. My son had what his pediatrician and a rhuematologist at Children's Mercy Hospital called chronic pain in almost all of his muscles. He was only 15 and was a wrestler for 5 or 6 years. Dr. Change immediately noticed odd wear on his shoes and several other non symmetrical aspects of his hips, clavicles, shoulder blades, and right side musculature. He then strength tested his sides and found his dominant, right side to be weak. He did a few adjustments and then retested to show a marked difference. It was kind of like watching a magic show. The improvement was immediate. He kind of insisted that he must have had some kind of injury, we kept saying no until we remember a bike accident in seventh grade that must have been the cause of his constant muscle spasm and misalignment. Dr. Chang spent a full hour with us and show us and our son exactly what the problems were with the use of a large portable mirror. His technique was different from other chiropractors I have been to and he is very skilled at what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is dissatisfied with traditional MD care for pain and skeletal-muscular issues. In my opinion, he is more concerned with finding the cause and a cure rather than treating symptoms.
