The worst psychiatrist I have ever been to in my 15 years of having one. Basically, you self-medicate as he asks want med you want and then writes the prescription. The initial apt which is meant to be one-hour is only 30min where he asks absolutely no questions or details about your history. Just asks which medication you have been on and if you want to change it. He has given me the completely wrong prescription three different times, and when I called him from the pharmacy to tell him, he refuses to refill it over the phone and forced me to go back to his office to pick up the correct script! He has also refused (in an emergency situation) to refill my prescription without a full apt which he said he did not have availability for two-three weeks, leaving me without any medication. This is not only rude and insensitive, but dangerous for the health of a patient. I do NOT rec Dr Shershow for anything. Being in the practice for 30 years doesn't mean anything. I have switched dr's and it is like night and day! So glad I made this decision.

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I feel like my appointment was pointless. If you want a prescription writing robot, them go see this doctor. He gave me twice the dose that I needed of something that I didn't even need. I had a very bad reaction and when called him was told to continue the medication. I went for a second opinion and was told to discontinue the medication immediately!!!!

This was the worst experience I've ever had in my life.
First, the doctor made a double booking, and there was somebody else when came. He had to reschedule. When I came the second time, he was really mean to me. I didn't notice the button on the side of the entrance door, but the room was open, so I entered. He said that I should have rung the bell, and even though he was with me, he made me go out and ring the bell. I was so surprise at his behavior that instead of walking away from that rude person, I did what he requested,
At the end of my story, he asked me what I wanted. I told him that I came for help, and it was his decision as to how to treat me. He asked if I wanted medications. I said that if he though I need Meds, I'll take them. He asked which one I wanted.
Excuse me! Who is the doctor?
Of course, I'm not going to take the medication he prescribed, and I'm not going back to him. I don't trust him. I'll be looking for another doctor.
Stay away from Dr. John Shershow if you need help.
