I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. The equipment they used during my adjustment was very advanced and sophisticated. It made me much more comfortable knowing that I was getting the most safe, current treatment.

They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. This provider has so much helpful information available online. They have an impressive website that's easy to use, with forms that you can fill out before your appointment. They also have a great online presence in multiple directories. I was amazed at how much better I felt after my adjustments. I was worried that my adjustments were going to be painful but they were extremely careful.

I have filed 5 complaints with the Illinois State Department of Professional Regulation against Dr. Schening.
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the category of back injuries, it takes an MRI performed by a licensed radiologist (MD) to evaluate a soft tissue back injury. Hence, I do not believe in chiroquacktic (it's just a hustle, scam and/or con) which has no scientifically proven benefit or proof that it does not harm. I have been to 9 of them. One cost me a million dollar workers compensation settlement through his corruption and incompetence. His diagnosis, "It's whatever I want!" Really.
While doing technical support, I spoke with an MD in Maryland whose specialty is internal medicine. He has had to tell about a dozen chiroquaktic patients that the problem is not low back, but terminal pancreatic cancer that will claim their lives in 3-6 months.
The legal requirements of a chiropractor is little more than a pamphlet. The legal requirements of an MD will just about fill a 60 lb. box of paper. Chiroquackers routinely claim skills and abilities such as legal services (workers comp), physical therapy, nutrition, the ability to evaluate back injuries (radiologist, orthopedic surgeon, neurologist) without have any training or licensing.
Blown disks are currently worth $30,000 each.
If a person has a blown disk, I recommend an inversion table. Try 30 minutes at 30 degrees past horizontal per day.
Here follows one of the complaints I filed against Dr. Schening (Note: There is a limit to how long the complaint can be.):
On July 2, of 2001, I went to the office of Dr. Schening because I had been injured on the job. I asked Dr. Schening if he took workers comp. He said yes. He had examined me 3 weeks earlier and performed an X-ray at that time. He claimed Bradley Dworkin, a workers compensation attorney, was his attorney. Although Dr. Schening had agreed to take me on a Workers Compensation Basis, he asked if he could represent both sides. However, during the worker compensation "exam" which lasted all of ~3 minutes, he did not do any imaging. He claimed he did not need to do any imaging. He claimed a diagnosis was "whatever I want!" In other words, he knowing did not provide a medical exam as per our agreement. He admits to being a pathological liar, making up a diagnosis. He told me my injury was low back. He did not evaluate each disk. He did not check to see if my back was broken. He did not determine if I had internal bleeding. He adjust me without determining my injuries or if it was safe to adjust me. He then made claims to others, the responsible parties although I do not know what was said, without my knowledge, disseminating false information. The National Institutes Health, CREATED BY OUR USA GOVERNMENT, had posted the requirements for a soft tissue back injury evaluation.

The only way to evaluate a spinal disc injury is with an MRI by a licensed radiologist. Therefore, any soft tissue spinal evaluation dissemenated through the mail or over the phone must be from an MRI, or it is fraud, regardless of the state law. Dr. Schening then billed my insurance company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, for treatment of unknown injury, without my permission, with the claim being settled, while claiming that there is "no way to tell" what my injuries were. He later claimed he had ordered MRIs before, indicating he was willfully engaging insurance fraud, wire fraud and mail fraud.
If he is claiming the company where I was injured is not at fault, then Dr. Schening caused my injuries through his willful adjustments on a pronounced healthy back. He later billed me for services even though my case was not settled and he knew it. He also agreed to back my case in court while taking monies from me. He then refused to provide me with the appropriate document and/or arguments. He also did not tell me why he was treating me. If there was no structural issue, why did he adjust me in the first place. Furthermore, Dr. Schening claimed a spinal disk was "like a jelly donut." Every book I have looked in showing pictures of spinal disks shows something quite different. Morever, Dr. Schening would often make statements indicating that with "...my hands...", he can heal people, diagnose back injuries, etc. In my estimation, Dr. Schening is a Pathological Liar only looking to milk patients for as much money as possible.
