We went to Dr. Wen as a last resort last week with our almost 5 year old Labradoodle who was diagnosed on July 4, 2015 with inoperable lymphoma in his intestines and abdomen.

He has been very sick. Dr. Wen's staff was welcoming and kind. Dr. Wen is confident and has so much knowledge. He prescribed herbal supplements to go along with his prednisone that he was already taking. We started the herbs that evening.

The next evening, the green diarrhea he had for days was gone. He began eating and eliminating normally, His horrible gas subsided greatly and he seems to be feeling so much better. We will go back in 2 weeks for a follow up. We are taking life a day a time and we are so happy to have Dr. Wen on our side!

Dr Wen is an extremely compassionate and knowledgeable Vet. He worked miracles with my dog. I have only heard rave reviews about him. I live in Nassau county - Good news travels fast. Numerous people have told me that Dr Wen saved their pet's life. Thank you Dr Wen!

Dr. Wen and his staff are blessings. They have treated 4 of my dogs and are the most wonderful caring vets on Long Island.

I had the same experience as your other "reviewer". One night I discovered my cat couldn't use his back legs, couldn't walk. I rushed him to the 24 hour emergency hospital and after staying overnight and spending $2,000 on tests and treatments, they couldn't diagnose him and offered only an MRI (VERY expensive for cats…in the thousands) which MIGHT offer information but not a cure. I declined. My regular vet couldn't figure it out either. Since Dr Wen had previously cured my cat of a horrific flee allergy (which I had read was incurable in an animal holistic care book) - other vets only offered steroids which will ultimately end in kidney failure or some other terminal condition which I can't recall - I knew it was time to take the nearly one hour drive to see him. It took him minutes to diagnose my cat (which he confirmed with blood tests.) My cat was near death before taking him to Dr Wen and surely would have passed away. I don't know if there's such a thing as a 'miracle worker', but I do believe Dr Wen is truly a healer. Aside from being extremely smart, I think his gift is that he is incredibly sensitive, able to feel both physically and with his gutt what's going on with the animal. This is aided by the fact that my cat relaxes when Dr Wen lays his hands on him. I can't recommend him more highly. I will still take my cat to my local vet for routine visits or issues, but for anything serious, it will always be Dr Wen.

Dr. Wen literally saved my dog's life...when other experts could not. After leaving her for two days in an oxygen tent in a local animal hospital that told me to "prepare myself", I took her out of there and brought her to Dr. Wen, hoping he could do something to save her.

Daisy Marie has been Dr. Wen's patient for some time. He has been successfully treating her Cushing's condition for more than a year, after we opted to travel the longer distance for his care and his medications, instead of the harsh and dangerous chemotherapy our other local vets prescribed. Overall, she has been doing well.

She recently got pneumonia and was brought to a 24 emergency care facility close to our home. This facility has a team of doctors and is said to have the best equipment around. After $2,000 and two days of x-rays, tests, and services, the team could not pinpoint the issue, and suspected several different things, but could not make a diagnosis. They presented us with an additional estimate for $7,000 for more tests, but no promises, and an option to call in their expert staff for an additional $350 weekend fee, however, they indicated that I should prepare myself and that they expected that Daisy should have already stopped breathing. I was able to reach Dr. Wen on an emergency line and he agreed to meet me the following morning...on his day off. Although the hospital told me she would not survive the ride, I took my girl out of the oxygen tent and made the one hour trip to Speonk...with Daisy gasping in my sister's arms.

Dr. Wen was there on A Sunday morning, just like he said he would be, and he took her in the back room. He came out alone a few minutes later and reviewed her test results with us, explained his suspicions and told us what medications he would administer. He told us to come back in the afternoon and we could either take her home or take her to another 24 hour care facility that he recommends. My sister told me that she knew that at that point, no matter what, it would be ok.

We returned at 2 pm and Daisy was bright, breathing much better, and wagging her tail when she saw us...and we were advised that the best place to take her was home and that he felt she would be ok...and in fact, she was. Dr. Wen successfully diagnosed her issue and solved her problem in less than an hour...which was something the other hospital could not accomplish with 3 doctors and two days.

It has taken several weeks for her to get strong again, but she is about up to her best now, and has resumed her glorious nonsense ...to all of our delights. The difference in the care between these two animal hospitals was so profound...and it almost cost my dog's life. Dr. Wen has been called a miracle vet, and I do believe he is, but I also know him to be an experienced, responsible medical practitioner who understands very well how to weigh all the facts and risks and make a judgement call in a very practical way, where the other team of doctors simply followed the book (and would be incredibly lost without it - in fact, they seemed incredibly lost even with it). I am forever grateful to Dr. Wen and I highly, highly recommend him to care for your most beloved pets.
