I have been a Shelby resident for about a year now and have a cat; actually a very large cat; not fat just large by normal standards; too large to even fit ito a large animal carrier and he always has been terrified when I did manage to get him to his vet in Gastonia. On the advice of a friend who uses this practice, I called to make an appointment for vaccinations and figuring that it couldn't hurt to ask if the vet would make house calls and happily for me, he agreed to come out the following night. My cat got a thorough check, all his vaccinations and we didn't have the added trauma of the trip to and from the vet's office. My husband and I were both extremely pleased with his professionalism, friendly attitude and the way he handled our boy, giving such a thorough exam to the point of going back out to his truck to get a flashlight to get a better look at an old injury on my cat's neck. I only wish I had prepared dinner ready for him! Poor soul's stomach was growling! This was excellent service and I am now a life-long client. Having had animals (large and small) all my life, my only regret is that it has taken this long to find someone of this calibre. He rates 10 plus stars in my book.

They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous
. I have never had a bad experience and I have complete faith in their care. Dr Dixon is very friendly and competent, he is highly recommended by many that I have spoken with. He does house calls for our horses and is always on time and professional.
