As a customer I was approached (through strong arm sales tactics) to purchase a PKU formula product through Edgepark (RGH Enterprises dba Edgepark) for my son who has PKU. I was told they would reach out and contact my insurance company and guaranteed approval of coverage for their product. I was surprised because my insurance company has never approved any type of medically prescribed food product but the sales associate at Edgepark assured me that they could get approval because they code their products in a way that makes it accepted by all companies. I thought this was great and they shipped out our first order. I was repeatedly called after that to reorder product & accepted only one more shipment, with a different flavor as my son didn't care for the 1st one, and I finally had to tell them that I would contact them if we decided we wanted another shipment and to please stop contacting us. Almost a year goes by & I suddenly get a bill in the mail for the full cost of the product which I was assured was approved by insurance and Edgepark states insurance coverage was denied and they exhausted all appeals. Not only that, but they are billing my minor child & sent a release form for me to sign stating that (which basically asks me to give consent to myself for access ) they needed it in order to give me information. To make it worse, I since got a new insurance carrier and Edgepark seems unwilling (or unable) to supply me with any proof they ever got insurance approval to begin with. I stated I would lodge a formal complaint with the state department of insurance if the insurance carrier approved something and then later denied but since I cannot get the requested proof I can only assume that Edgepark is in the wrong. They had ample opportunity to bill me previously or to mention during one of the many sales calls that insurance was pending and possibly would not be approved. I am on my 3rd call to get any information or resolution from Edgepark (rest assured they are still billing my minor child in the meantime) so true to my word I am sharing my experience with one and all. There is very little financial assistance for PKU patients and I think its terrible that there is a company preying on these unsuspecting families that already have too many medically related financial issues. You've been warned.

I've bought medical supplies from Edgepark since 2007. They have everything I need, have great service and are a model for logistics - my orders always arrive within 2 business days. I could probably go without eating for a couple of days if I had too, but I can't go 6 hours without my supplies. These guys always come through for me. Very impressive.
