They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency. I was forced to call the emergency room in the middle of the night and was really scared. Every time I visit, I have to remind them why I'm visiting them. It makes me feel like they don't care about me. When I told them about my situation, they were somewhat understanding, but they could have been more caring. They didn't try very hard to understand where I was coming from. Everything I told them seemed to go in one ear and out the other. We changed vets because of their response during an emergency. 2x now during the day instead of taking us we had to go to the emergency room costing us hundreds more and of course the follow up cost at the vet. Each time at the er my dogs and cat were just kept for observation. The vet could have done that too. This last time my dog died on me on the way to the vet. The office tried to send me 30-40min out of the way to kingwood because at 2:30 they had no vet in the office. Since he died on the way they were willing to pronounce him but even that took a 5min wait outside in the car. What if my dog had been still alive only we couldn't detect it. No since of urgency. The kicker was the following day I got a follow up call to see how my dog was doing. My husband said no more we'll take our other animals some where else.
