i just read the review above, and the only part that even made sense was the last few sentences. i have several years experience in animal healthcare, so allow me to take this apart piece by piece. you're offended that the practice wanted questions about healthcare to be answered by a vet tech or the doctor himself, rather than possibly having erroneous information given out by an assistant with no formal training or schooling? you're an idiot. that's actually insuring you get the most accurate information possible. i have a hard time figuring out the next two sentences, so let's just assume you don't have the mental facility to compose coherent thoughts. so, you're stupid, ignorant, and a little crazy. maybe that's why they seem to treat other clients better than you. you refer to routine treatments (i assume you mean yearly vaccines and 6 month check ups) as costly. this facility charges about 20% to 25% less than the average for the southeast. ever complain about the bill? because that doesn't really get you into good graces especially when the bill is lower than the average costs for procedures and treatments. you said the doctor wouldn't see you when you had an emergency. was he in surgery? did you make a habit of dropping in without an appointment? maybe you're the problem. i have always received excellent service here. the doctor is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. the staff is very good with animals. i always make appointments, show up on time, act respectful, and happily pay my bill. in turn, i receive excellent service. when i found a stray dog covered in demodectic mange sores and decided to keep him, they saw me without an appointment. when my cat was attacked by dogs, the doctor dropped everything and attended to her immediately. my animals are in excellent health thanks to this facility. i have a hard time believing that the above reviewer had such a terrible experience, unless huge amounts of information are conveniently being left out. if have been a happy client for years and my pets have thrived because of it. i will continue as client as long as i live in this area.

There was only a couple of times where the staff was actually able to answer my questions. Most of the time, they'd refer me to their boss or another staff member. They were far to arrogant to get any sort of outside advice, even though they knew they should. I was hoping to see someone that considered my safety more important than always having an answer. It seemed like they were trying to rush my appointment and were annoyed to be helping me. It was obvious that they wanted to be somewhere else. They definitely favor certain clients, and make an extra effort to help those clients. I was afraid that they wouldn't help me if they didn't like me. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else.

I took my dog in because he was very sick. Every other time I have taken him things (costly routine care) have been okay - but not great. This time however, they told me that I would have to make an appointment later in the day and come back. They refused to even take his temperature to see if he was running a fever. I took him to another vet and he had a severe case of pancreatitis. He had to be hospitalized immediately. DO NOT GO TO FOOTHILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. My dog could have died because of them.
