Dr. Thomson is one of the most understanding vets around. Good, practical advice. Our cats have all had visits and when end-of-life issues came up we appreciated the care and sensitivity Dr. T showed.

Glad to have him as part of the community!

Dr. Thompson has been our vet for over 5 years. He has seen all of my pets and even now in living in NC when we make our summer trip up we bring the dogs in for vacanations and check ups. The office and exam areas are spotless and there is no pet odor in the air. I have called them from NC to answer questions and they have answered the question or recommend that I get my animal to a local vet. In fact when my lab got hit by a car last year in April I talked to Doctor Thompson to see what he could do after we got a diagnois of a broken pelvis. I was willing to bring my dog back to NY for Doctor Thompsons care. Unfortunately he wasn't able to do the kind of surgery that the dog needed and I found a local hospital with a Doctor that was able to help us out. Unfortunately the dog passed from a blood clot. Now that vet has retired. :( Good Vets are hard to find in NC and that is what I miss most of not living in the area anymore.

I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. It was nice to be acknowledged. They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. They would never try to get me to make an appointment unless I really needed one. They never left me for an extended period of time and I never felt ignored. Unlike other veterinarians I've been too, I have never seen them appear overwhelmed by too many pets. They are extremely organized and make sure the vet has plenty of time to see each patient for as long as necessary.
