They let anyone set up a payment plan because they want their money and this is a low income area! It is the only way they will get paid. It isn't some special favor you're getting. I noticed that most of these positive reviews were done by people who have known this shady character for 10+ years. I haven't and this is my experience with Ithaca Animal Hospital: This was my second visit to Ithaca Animal Hospital and will MOST DEFINITELY be my LAST! Both times I had to bring our poor cat to their clinic, the receptionists were rude, as if I was disturbing them from their idle chit chatting. It's not easy for us to leave our adored cat there and the women at the desk don't care! I had a few questions for them and they made it seem like such an inconvenience to just answer a few short questions that I had. The doctor was no different! We were told to call back the next morning and see how our cat was. When I called, he said we had to do this and that and we're going to keep him another day and to please call again in the morning. While still on the phone, I tried to ask him a couple SIMPLE & SHORT questions and after an obnoxious sigh, he gave me some short answer to get me off the phone. We tried to call the next morning but their building is closed on Saturday and Sunday!! The doctor himself told us to call on the day they're closed...thanks bud. We got soaked with charges because they had to keep him all weekend! He didn't have to stay all weekend but they were closed so he had to! DVM? More like doctor of veterinary swindling. I'd recommend to EVERYBODY who cares about their pet or wallet to AVOID Ithaca Animal Hospital! Please learn from my unfortunate mistakes with them and take your beloved pet to people who care and are in the veterinary business, not the business of rude greedy crooked trickery.
