Where do I start? I feel so sorry for the poor collection lady that called me at 8pm tonight trying to collect the $66.00 that I owe this horrible place. All she did was manage to dredge up some of the worst gynecological memories of my entire life. The poor collection lady was trying to convince me that "going to the gynecologist is always a traumatic experience." I told her I am 44 years old, and am over the "traumatic" factor. I have been 26 times minimum. I go to stay healthy, and I deal with the procedures. Let's name off the things that made this a horrible experience.
1. The front desk staff. Clearly all teenagers. They had no social skills, and were very rude. They made no attempt at eye contact at all. It was "give us your 50 dollar co-pay and take a seat". Done deal.
2. Dr. Stein. She takes the award for "Worst Bedside Manner."
How many people have had their legs in stirrups when the Dr. yells out to her staff..."GET ME SOMETHING SERRATED!!!"
As I told the poor collection staff lady, "I felt like cattle."
3. Many many tests. Some unnecessary? I am not sure, but I really feel they raped my insurance company for every cent they could.
4. Come back for test results! I pay another $50.00 co-payment. I am sitting in an exam room for about a half an hour. I hear Dr. Stein coming down the hallway. She yells out, “What is this patient here for?” Duh. My chart is on the door. When she comes in, I remind her I am here for test results that the office insisted I come in for. Why the &%^* could they not give me the results over the phone? She smiles and gets a little giggle in. I can see that she is seeing $$ signs because she is only going to see me for 2 minutes. “Oh, everything is negative. See you next year.” I think not.
5. I ask the collection lady if this office takes ACCESS. She says yes. I said, “NO WONDER!” I advise all of you who work hard just so you can purchase health insurance to go elsewhere. Those of you on Access, I will pray for you if you HAVE to see Dr. Stein. Horrible horrible place.
