Prior to seeing Dr Chiles, I went from my primary, to urgent care, to the ER, and back to urgent care, where a lower spine injury was finally diagnosed. I went to another spine specialist and left the consult with a bad feeling. I was referred to Dr Chiles by two co-workers. My first contact was with Sarah and Jessica in the office. They were absolutely fantastic and made this stressful situation so much better. At my consult, I felt comforted and impressed. Dr Chiles is very knowledgeable, yet spoke to me in terms I could understand. I was provided as long of an appointment as I needed to have all my options presented and all my questions answered. Actually, he provided so much pertinent information, many questions were answered before I asked them. My consult was informative, comforting, and left me with a true sense of hope. I needed a laminectomy, decompression and fusion of my L3-L5 vertebrae. We scheduled my surgery at NYP Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. Dr Chiles and his surgical (as well as his office) staff are the absolute best. Together, they resolved my crippling back pain, got me standing upright, back on my feet and back to enjoying life pain free. Thank you to everyone who assisted me especially Dr Chiles! I highly recommend Dr Chiles to anyone with a spinal injury/illness. KMB

I came to Dr. Chiles with years of chronic lower back pain and a previous failed lumbar fusion. He took my situation very seriously, going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of properly. He knew what steps would be best to take considering my young age, corrected my previous surgery and successfully fused my L4-S1 joints. Dr. Chiles was at my bedside making sure I was feeling okay during my post-op hospital stay, available by phone at a moment's notice when I needed his knowledge when I was home throughout my recovery, and made it a point to check on me every so often to stay on top of my progress. He has been there 110% of the way and I couldn't be more grateful for him giving me a life without backpain back!

Dr. Chiles was very informative from the first time I met him. He was very thorough in his explanation of what the problem was and later on exactly what the surgery would entail. I am six weeks out of surgery and the pain I had before the surgery is gone. I feel that I am continually improving and I'm looking forward to a full recovery.

Before I talk about the dr, I can't say enough about the 3 gals staff who helped me with EVERY aspect of my disability. Between the paperwork, the calls and faxes to my employer, they outdid any expectation.
Now; the doctor. Just sit down and talk to this guy and you kind of know immediately that he's the consummate professional. I found him through a co-worker and talked to other doctors to get any dirt I could, after all, this was major spinal surgery, not to be taken lightly. Every dr I spoke with heard of him and held him in the highest standard. Then I had a consult. That was it. I had my l4,l5,s1 fused, and though recovery was long and often painful, (and believe me, I had my doubts) following his post op instructions and follow ups, 1 year later, I consider myself lucky that he was the one. Just have a consultation and you'll see what I mean.
Thank you doc.
I have to say also, that he was out of my network, and I still felt it was the best choice I could make for myself.

Dr Chiles performed lower back surgery on me a little over a year ago. I am extremely pleased with the results. When I met with Dr. Chiles for the first time, I was hardly able to walk into his office, I was in such dire pain. I felt 100% in a couple of months after he performed the surgery and feel great one year later. He gave me my life back.

At my consultation appointment, Dr. Chiles reviewed the recommended surgical procedure and made sure every single question I had was answered. He conducted a through examination and reviewed all of the test results I brought with me that day to the appointment. I left Dr. Chiles office very confident in regards to my upcoming surgery. He is very knowledgeable in his field as well as a very compasionate with excellent bedside manner. His staff is one of the most friendly, welcoming staffs that I have ever dealt with. The office was very easy to locate. I would highly recommend Dr. Chiles to anyone looking for an excellent neurosurgeon.
