These people are extremely understaffed, take it from someone who actually worked here, if you love your family members, DO NOT take them here, staffing 20 people to 1 nurse is a normal thing for this place, all they care about is getting the paperwork done and the checks cashed. They do not care for your loved ones at all, they will not take proper care for each individual, they do not take the time to establish proper care and even if they have a good nurse, that person can only do so much with so little help and so many other people to care for.

Very strange since WOODLAND Manor in Arnold does not have an upstairs so for the concerned daughter, I would have to say you are lieing!

My mother had a very nice private room...but she was not allowed to be in it by herself, she had to roam the long hallway or stay at the nurses station. There was nothing for her to occupy her time, and any activity was always upstairs and most of the time no one had the time to take her. She was behaving badly, could not sleep, and sometimes became combative. We asked her doctor to take her off some of her meds, but he refused. The staff is VERY short handed, they are sometimes short tempered, and the patients paid the price. We moved her to Delmar Gardens, and had another doctor check her. Her meds. were changed, and she has done a 100% turn around. We can not believe the difference. .we are so happy to have moved her into a nursing facility that has the experience and staff to take proper care. It was a bad experience for her and for us.

Although the staff was friendly enough, my mom was left on the toilet for about an hour. They told her to not get up by herself, but refused to answer the call button. She finally got up by herself anyway. When my brother talked to the directors and managers, more attention was paid to my mom. She did not care at all for the food, so we brought her meals in to her for lunch and dinner - which was OK because we were always there anyway. The facility was clean and DID NOT smell like other facilities I have been to.

My mother was in this facility for 30 days after a hip fracture. There may be one or two good staff members here but I honestly would not recommend boarding your dog here. There is so much miscommunication and misguidance that it made staying in the facility intolerable. They advertise delicious meals...REALLY?! Who gives elderly patients chili or hard shell tacos and taco salads? Those poor people are in enough discomfort yet they add to it by giving them gassy foods or foods they can’t eat. At every turn of my mother’s care I was given misinformation. Even after check out I was given wrong information for her home health care and if it were not for my investigating she would have missed her nurse’s visit as The Woodlands had given home health care the WRONG address! Who is running this place? It was sheer mayhem I'll tell you.
