If someone asked me to suggest a good nursing home in the area, it wouldn't be this place. They don't deserve a recommendation in my opinion. The Nursing staff is overworked and underpaid, the people are rude, and they just dint care for their employees. There is a huge list of things that are wrong with this place.

I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best.

They were very qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. I've been to one or two places that had a really bad smell. I was worried I would encounter it here too but I didn't notice anything. I had to look for a long time before I finally found their qualifications. They need to make them more obvious.

I enjoyed my time at Ravenwood. I enjoyed the people that worked there, from the CNA's, LPN's, RN's etc. I would like to say about this one LPN or RN, I am not sure which he was. My memory is bad, I can't remember his name for sure, I am thinking Cody (?). But he was really good at his job, he not only dispensed medicine but he had a bedside manner that was excellent. I have been in numerous nursing homes in the last 18 months and I had a few favorite people. At Ravenwood it was Cody(?). I can't remember the social workers name but she was a good one also.

Just to let you know I have been in the hospital 3 more time since I left Ravenwood. I have also been in another nursing home. I am now a right legged amputee. I had to amputate the ankle because it was slowing killing me. I was most recently at Carrington Place in Tama/Toledo. I have since made my final trip home. I am not leaving anytime soon. Doing the best, not sick anymore, not waiting for pain pills all the time. I have reduced my pain to one pain pill every once in awhile, not two every four hours like before.

There is one person who I would like to get a message to. I don't remember her name either but she was in the room right next to mine and she also had her leg amputated. If you could tell her hi from me and that I had to have my leg amputated also and now know what she was going thru I would appreciate it. Thanks for this.

I want to thank everyone at Ravenwood, They treated me with respect and kindness and I appreciated that at that moment in time. Happy Holidays to everyone and Thanks so much.
