I can always get an appointment right away and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. This business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is near the freeway and close to all kinds of shops. The staff was warm and welcoming, which I appreciated. The doctor has a no nonsense practical approach to treating his patients. Instead of just handing out prescriptions for a variety of ailments, he is open minded to other forms of treatment in addition to traditional medical practice. He gets right to the point & takes the time to answers all of my questions and concerns without "talking above" the patient as so many other physicians do.

If you are reading this while searching for an excellent physician, you have found him at Healthmax. Dr Vern and his staff are very caring human beings. They are conscious of all their patients and the patient's comfort while visiting their office. The waiting room and office are very comfortable. Music is pleasant and in the background. The staff goes out of their way in caring and sharing their knowledge when a question is asked or they will consult with Dr Vern for the best answer. Appointments schedule is very versatile for the patient. Dr Vern takes additional time with his patients to listen, to ask pertinent questions, and then explain in detail his findings/diagnosis. His testing is appropriate, and usually results are right on the button confirming his diagnosis. Dr Vern is what I have always believed a GOOD DOCTOR should be: He is caring, sensitive to the patient, extremely knowledgeable not only from the physical side of an ailment, but also the psychological impact it is having on the patient. Our daughter has seen specialists for 9 years. This is the first doctor who has made sense with diagnosis, reduced her prescriptions, and with his care and accuracy, has kept her out of the ER for several months! Before seeing Dr Vern, we had begun to believe she would never get well. Now, with Dr. Vern there is a light at the end of the long tunnel of illness in which she resides.
