My wife and I tried to join the Blackwood practise and they said we were to old.

Dr. Blackwood has been my family members' primary care physician since he opened his office here in Virginia Beach. The Blackwood group treats us like family. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients individually, remember them, find out what they need, and work to address those needs. They are committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. They promptly answer my calls, and It is easy to get the appointment time that works for my schedule. I am impressed with their consideration and compassion. They never put me on hold for a long time, and they don't mind answering a quick question if feasible.

The staff was extremely warm and welcoming, and made every effort to make me feel right at home. They are so friendly and inviting. I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. They do such a great job of never overbooking appointments, even though they are extremely popular. I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been too. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places.
