Typical McAllen doctor (Dr. Shawn I forget the rest of his name) running up the bill. The doctor spoke to me for about 4 minutes. I was told to get an MRI for a migraine headache. After they took days to confirm that my insurance would pick up the tab for the visit. They told me my insurance would cover it so I just paid the co-pay during the visit. I received a bill from them in the full amount---that 4 minutes cost me $200. First and LAST time I give them any of my money. Once I got the bill, I just put it on a credit card. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. Avoid this place if You can. Knowing what I know now I would drive to the next major city to see a specialist there then deal with these crooks. What they do not tell You is that most doctors in this group are shareholders of this company. So the more profit or billing they get from each patient, the more money these doctors make. I can understand the money perspective but the patient should come first. And here it does not. All the medical training they received has been cast aside for the all mighty dollar. I am sure I am not the only one to experience this. Avoid this place if You want Good medical care. It is not the money that I am upset about but lack of service. They didnt do anything. They didnt check my temperature, weight, blood pressure, etc. How can You narrow down any causes of a patient's problems without doing the basics? I know get an MRI. These doctors need to get a clue. I went to my family physician and have been happy ever since. Thanks for Nothing---Valley Ear Nose & Throat
