The Aetna plan that I am on chose Dr. Perry for me, and I made an appt. for my toddler to see him.

Dr. Perry's behavior was rude and condescending. Because we wanted to delay some shots (and not get them all at once), we were treated rudely by the staff, nurses and most of all by the doctor himself.

He came in to the room with an attitude. He did not listen to our reasons or respect our views. His emotional, overly critical response scared my son, and when he came over to listen to his heart, my toddler hugged his body to me to get away from him.

He did not discuss my son's health with me (beyond asking if there were any problems, allergies etc.), did not offer information on where my son was on the growth chart (I had to ask -- and all doctors usually discuss this with us) or what I should watch out for etc. He disagreed with me, so he gave me mediocre (at best) service.

He told us if we did not agree to get the full round of shots in the recommended order, he could not help us.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone who wants to have a voice in their own medical care; based on our experience, Dr. Perry does not seem like the kind of guy to sit down and weigh risk and benefit with you -- or even listen openly to your concerns.
