Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice.

My wife and I were patients for close to a year. Between the two of us, we've only had four visits and we've had errors with the bill ON ALL FOUR of the visits.

First, my wife was charged for a visit that never happened. Then, my doctor forgot to make a referral, and when I showed up for the appointment to look over the results (obviously, there were none) to tell him that there was no appointment, he apologized, saying they had to fire one of the receptionists because she was absent minded, and then he sent me on my way. BUT I WAS STILL CHARGED $115 FOR THE APPOINTMENT! Despite the several calls I have made, they refused to credit me back the difference.

Next, they charged my credit card twice for expensive testing. When I called about the overcharge, they said it would take 4 weeks to be reimbursed. Why? It takes two seconds to see that I was charged twice and to put that credit back the difference on my credit card!

Also worth noting, the SHORTEST I've ever waited to see Dr. Johnson was AN HOUR. That's right. AN HOUR. On one occasion, I waited in the exam room for two hours to see the doctor for less than fifteen minutes.

The bottom line: It's better and cheaper to go to Sister's of Mercy Urgent Care than to deal with Parkridge. They are a business, first and foremost, and they should act like it. The lack of customer service, unprofessional behavior, and questionable ethics are enough to drive even those who are desperate from seeking aid with Parkridge Medical.
