Although I am satisfied with the dental care I have received, I am upset about a letter recently mailed from Dr. Procopio's practice regarding missed appointments. The letter was impersonal, (addressed "To whom it may concern"), requested patients always call back to confirm appointments and stated there would be charges if an appointment is not cancelled 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE. The letter went on to threaten the removal of "appointment privileges." I have been a patient at this practice for many years. I did miss an appointment ONCE well over a year ago but discussed this occurance with the office staff as soon as I became aware of my mistake. I feel I have now been labeled a "problem case" and that I am being viewed and treated in a derogatory manner. I respect the fact that Dentistry is Dr. Procopio's livelihood and comprehend that missed appointments are thoughtless and represent a loss in income to him and his practice, but the missed appointment policy and the way it has been presented to me have left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I believe that in spite of Dr. Procopio's competent care, he cares far more about his profit margin than about about me or his other patients.

I believe they try and see too many patients at once. Two of my four visits felt very rushed and on one occasion they left a TV on in the room while I was being worked on and the Dentist watched TV while filling a cavity. I think they work done was sub par and I will not go back and neither will my wife.

Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. Let me just say that the chairs in their waiting room are quite comfortable. Its nice that they care about patient comfort. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy.
