I have been going to this dentist for a year and a half now. I have usually dealt with Dr. Friedland who is very personable. He does not talk down to you or make you feel uncomfortable. The other dentist there however is a completely different story. I went there for what I understood was a filling in my front from a chip in my tooth. The dentist came in and without saying hello or telling me what he was going to do, looked in my mouth and then just stuck me with the needle in the back of my mouth. If I had at least been prepared it would have been a little better but I didn't see the needle until it was in my mouth. The pain was extremely excruciating and he was not even trying to be careful. After, he walked out of the room and I had to find out from the assistant that he was planning on doing a filling in the back. I explained that my insurance only covers a certain amount a year and I thought I was getting the front done and she seemed very inconvenienced about the whole thing. The dentist then came back in and had extremely rude answers to my explanation. He raised his voice. He complained about my insurance and the limit they gave me. He asked me about dependents on my insurance and if they were going to need a dentist too. This made me very uncomfortable. He then shouted, "So what do you want me to do?!" I said I would like the front done but as he started at me with another needle I told him I had had enough of needles for the day. He actually slammed the needle down on the metal table. I asked the assistant if I could reschedule. She told me that was fine but to make sure that I was more specific about what I wanted done when I made the appointment. At the previous appointment I discussed this at length with the person who did my cleaning and x-rays and I was positive that it was very clear as to what I was was making the next appointment for. I would assume it would be in my chart as I came to the front to make the next appointment. I have never walked out of a dentist appointment shaking and in tears before. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone who doesn't want to be yelled at or treated like dirt. I will not be going back. Ever.

I used to be afraid of going to the dentist, but now I am not. I don't know if there is more than one dentist there but the Indian guy is great. He is funny and makes me feel safe in my environment, he explains to me what he is going to do before he does it. Although he is a nice guy, some of the ladies there are very rude, especially the one with the long brown ponytail and the lady at the desk with the blonde and brown hair. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. They were absolutely amazing and make others in the same field look like beginners. I spend a little too much time in the waiting room. I've waited longer at other offices, but I was hoping to be seen sooner. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately.

I wasn't greeted at all when I walked in the door. No one seemed to notice or care that I was there. Most of the time, they don't call me back for quite a while, but they've called me back quickly once or twice. I'm not always sure that they're going to work with me until they find a solution, and sometimes it seems like they're going to give up on trying to help me. I don't feel like I can always count on them. They called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment. I couldn't believe how much pain I experienced after my appointment. I was in agony for days that I know could've been avoided. I Don't think I'll be going back.

I usually don't do this but I can't say that I old recommend this office at all solely on the attitudes of the support staff, Very rude and unprofessional receptionists and dental assistants the dentist and hygienist were great but the support staff were absolutely miserable. The dental assistant was very disrespectful towards the dentist, this behavior should not be witnessed by the already anxious patient. Being a professional my self I could not believe how people were treated and spoke to, where is the customer service or does this not apply to the Denali offices!

Dr Friedland is very polite and professional and willing to take the extra time to answers our questions. However the hygienist treats my wife very differently than she treats me i.e. after the cleaning she makes it a regular practice to NEVER give my wife the extras such as tooth brush, toothpaste ect. but always makes sure I have these items when I leave. I encouraged my wife to complain about the service on one occasion because she did not get a good cleaning and the hygienist did not do the flossing that is a routine part of the cleaning – my wife has been treated unfairly by the hygenist since this time…we are searching for a different office where we are treated equally well. The hygienist purposely does this and we are quite sure there are others that are treated in this fashion by the hygenist…we stayed because we really appreciated the fine work Dr. Friedland performed but apparently the hygienist forgot who pays her wages…but it is the patients.
