I could not recommend this practice for seniors who desire a pro-active approach to health care. The attitude seems to be that people get old, have health problems,so just keep them comfortable because they will likely die soon. Referrals to specialists were rare. On at least 2 occasions, serious problems with both of my parents were not diagnosed until we had to take them to the ER.( At this office my father was given antibiotics for the possibility of having the flu and a few days later received emergency surgery to save his life.) My family found Dr Smendik to be opinionated, arrogant, and a poor listener. Both my parents have since transferred to different practices where communication with the family is better and the doctors are more positive, interested and attentive to the health issues of seniors.
