The staff definitely wasn't friendly. It seemed like they were annoyed to have to be helping me. I'm hoping I can find better service somewhere else. Whenever I have to wait in a waiting room a while, I always look forward to at least being able to read their magazines, but the magazines weren't entertaining at all. I ended up waiting to be seen by a nurse practitioner for 75 minutes before I told them that I was leaving and not waiting any more. They don't have that great of a professional reputation in my community. They definitely aren't known for being experts. I saw a lot of people that seemed like they had DUI arrests and have to attend some sort of counseling by law.

I have visited BHCA for over ten years and have had appointments with every member of their staff. BCHA is a first rate practice and has been integral in my full recover from a debilitating anxiety disorder. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and important.

Dr. Wolfrum and his office is terrific. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine and they had a television and cheerful decor as well.. I was very comfortable the entire time. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary. I've always appreciated how great they are about getting back to me right away. Whenever I call I have my needs attended to. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. Dr. Wolfrum has treated me and my family so well that we are now happy and enjoying life again.

I have had one experience with BHCA in which I was attempting to deal with severe depression and thoughts of suicide. While my comments could be slightly tainted by my condition, I experienced the worst interaction with a doctor in my middle aged life. I spent nearly 30 minutes with an Advanced Practice Nurse that listened to my situation and took notes. It was a reasonable interview and touched upon the issues I wanted to address. Once I completed the APN called in the owner / director for a consult. After mustering the courage to seek help and spilling my guts about inner fears and issues Dr. Blaise Wolfrum replied with disdain and condescension. His flippant comments and lack of concern is truly troubling for a person supposedly in the profession of helping troubled people. His first comment "why are you depressed when others have it worse than you" was a stinging slap across the face and set the tone for the rest of the time with him. I was stunned that depression was a competition with him. When I described my plans for suicide he ridiculed me. Then when I expressed guilt for not being around when a loved one died he continued with "Did you give her cancer?". Apparently Dr. Wolfrum is an advocate of tough love therapy. This man's attitude and and condemnation might motivate someone training for a race but has no place in the treatment of people who are in need of support and guidance. On a lesser note the reception staff was absentminded and painfully slow. When I called in I had to remind the person 3 times why I was calling and spent nearly 50 total minutes on hold. A red flag went up, but figured I should not judge a professional services organization like BHCA on just the receptionists performance and made an appointment anyway. There are a number of professionals at BHCA and I can't comment on all of them but if they take their guidance from the owner / director Dr. Wolfrum people would be better suited looking for another place for treatment. I would not recommend this organization to anyone looking for compassion or a caring attitude. My impression was that this is just a business looking to prey on the depressed with little regard for their well being.

I had a serious addiction problem with drugs and alcohol and had been to many other doctors. Dr. Wolfrum was able to see me when I needed help the most and I am grateful because his specialized detox saved my life. He got me clean and sober and I have stayed that way and even found out why I was using to begin with and how to overcome this.

I come from a family that suffers from mental illness and substance abuse problems. Needless to say, I have visited a few doctors in my lifetime and I am happy to say that Dr. Wolfrum is one that I am staying with because of all the help he has given me and my family over the years. He is very knowlegeable and told me things about myself that were very true that no one before had either the insight or ability to do. He helped me view my life in a whole new way and turn my life over to God and beat my 20 year addiction to drugs, alcohol and depression. His choice of medication included new drugs to keep me clean and sober. I thank him and his kind and caring staff for all they have done for me.
