As soon as I walked in the door, I noticed their credentials displayed prominently. It made me even more confident that I was seeing someone who knew what they were doing. I was a little disappointed at how helpful the staff was when I called with my questions and concerns. They definitely could have been more polite. The office decor was very out dated and could have used some cleaning.

Dr. Shanklin is the most intelligent, well-informed and caring medical professional I have ever consulted. He has been my psychiatrist for more than 8 years. I had several others previous to him and while all were helpful and professional in their way, I’ve found Dr. Shanklin’s approach to my treatment for bipolar disorder and anxiety, including recommendations of medications, to be without peer.

He has been my advocate, the person pulling for me when I can't do it for myself. He has demonstrated in every way that he is committed to my care and treatment. I am grateful for his wise and caring counsel, and recommend him highly.

The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for. They made sure every question I had was answered thoroughly, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. I was very glad that they didn't leave me unattended during my consultation. I've been to some other psychiatrists that left me alone during my consultation, and I felt very ignored, but they didn't do that here.

Absolutely not! My phone calls aren't returned at all!

Not really, it wasn't very clean

Definitely not. They seem to care more about themselves

I will definitely recommend them to people I know. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. Since I started visiting them, I'm better than I've been in years. They are very talented and have been able to help me recover more quickly than I would have been able to anywhere else. They make sure to treat all their clients equally and without favoritism. I've always hated it when I've seen favoritism going on at other places I've visited. It's nice that it doesn't happen here. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for.
